Work-Life Balance

Society today recognises the value of having a work-life balance. Being able to balance your career with your family life is a prospect that is a straightforward concept, but not as simple to put into practice.

At Balance Resourcing our goal is to give professionals, in particular parents, the option to keep their careers on track. So whether you are raising a family or getting back to work after raising a young family, having a flexible working arrangement can be a desirable option.

We can help get you back into flexible and part-time professional work regardless of why you have taken a break from your career.

Flexible working

Flexible working breaks with the tradition of nine to five. Flexible employees usually have a choice of working times, number of hours per week and working environment (such as working from home).

Some companies allow their staff to choose what suits them. Others have a selection of flexible working options that fit their business operation and staff work around this accordingly. Examples of flexible working arrangements are interim (contract), part time, remote working, compressed hours and job sharing.

Part-time staff doesn't mean less committed employees

There is a significant body of research showing that employing professionals part-time doesn't compromise the quality of work. There is conclusive evidence that part-time employees recognise the balance they have between their personal and professional lives and are indeed regularly more productive.

Herb Kelleher, founder of Southwest Airlines, once said: 'It's difficult to change someone's attitude - so hire someone for attitude and train for skill'.

Parents coming back to work are doing so for all the right reasons. Our candidates have the attitude that will make a difference to your business.
